General Public Ticket Sales Commence Tomorrow for Wicked’s Brisbane Season

Have you heard the news throughout Oz? The Emerald City is headed to Brisbane starting in September 2024. Want to nab yourself, your family, loved ones and/or mates tickets to see the national production a decade after it last called Brisbane home? With pre-sales wrapping up, general public sales are set to commence tomorrow morning via the QPAC website, or through their box office by phoning 136 246. Booking information for Brisbane and other states (Just the currently ongoing Melbourne season at this time) can be found via the show’s official website. Wicked will be performing at the QPAC Lyric Theatre starting 12 September 2024, although a set end date has yet to be confirmed.

Commenting on bringing Wicked back to Brisbane, following a 2023-2024 Australian season so far consisting of the Sydney Lyric Theatre and Melbourne Regent Theatre, co-producer John Frost shared:

I’m thrilled we’re able to bring WICKED to Brisbane’s wonderful Lyric Theatre where two past seasons totally sold out. WICKED is one of the most lavish musical productions to have ever played in Australia, the full Broadway experience. With the lavish sets and opulent costumes, it’s a feast for the eye and the ear.

The new Australian cast is exceptional and has been embraced by WICKED fans. If you have never seen WICKED, come and see it for the first time and be spellbound. If you have seen it before, I know you’ll want to come back and be enthralled all over again.

Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other young women meet in the land of Oz. One born with emerald-green skin is smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. The other is bubbly, blonde, ambitious and exceptionally popular. They become rivals, then friends…until the world decides to call one “good” and the other one “wicked.”

The 2024 cast of WICKED is headlined by Queenslander Courtney Monsma as Glinda and Sheridan Adams as Elphaba, the roles which will see them take on the iconic roles of Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. They will be joined on-stage by a diverse lead cast including Robyn Nevin as Madame Morrible, Todd McKenney as Wizard, Liam Head as Fiyero, Adam Murphy as Dr Dillamond, Shewit Belay as Nessarose, Kurtis Papadinis as Boq, and Zoe Coppinger as the Elphaba Standby.
